The village of Rochester Ville was formed in 1817 with a population of only 700 locals. Lying just west of New York it was later to be known as the “flower city” and became one of the fastest growing regions in all of the USA. It also became the leading “jazz town” in upstate New York back in the 1960s and 1970s.
